Day retreat

1:1 immersive coaching experience at The Lookout

Are you struggling to step back and consider what you're really working towards?

Are you interested in coaching, but can’t commit to a series of sessions when down-time is scarce and your evenings are busy or unpredictable?

Or maybe you know what you should be doing but keep making excuses or promising yourself to start next month… or next year.

This 1:1 day retreat is a unique opportunity for you to take time for yourself, to find clear direction and a path forwards, and to feel re-energised. Think of it as an immersive coaching super-session!

The day is designed to balance:

  • A disconnect from your daily grind in a peaceful, mindful space with gorgeous views of nature to reflect and gain perspective

  • An energising, practical space to power up your progress towards your goals with 5 hours of expert 1:1 coaching

Each coaching retreat is bespoke to you and your needs, so I will design the perfect blend of these elements based on what you’re looking to get out of the experience.

Retreat package includes:

  • Before the retreat: 45-minute virtual consultation to discuss what you want to get out of the day and align on our focus areas

  • During the retreat: 5 hours of expert coaching with moments for self-reflection and walking in the countryside. Plus, a delicious lunch, snacks and drinks

  • After the retreat: 60-minute virtual coaching session to follow up on your progress, reinforce positive changes, and discuss challenges

  • A full set of tried-and-tested coaching resources and tools for you to lean on in future

Typical agenda

10-10.15: Welcome - make yourself at home in our space for the day.

10.15-11.30: Session 1 - 1:1 coaching session. We will dive into your priority focus area, either sitting at the dining table, getting creative with post-it notes up on the wall, or relaxed on the sofas with spectacular views for a restorative, exploratory session.

11.30-11.45: Break - refreshments

11.45-1: Session 2 - walking coaching session. We'll walk along the leafy River Thames and lakeside footpaths to reconnect to nature, with moments of mindfulness interspersed into our next coaching session (weather permitting).

1-1.30: Lunch - a healthy, balanced lunch.

1.30-2: Self-reflection - we'll have covered lots in our morning sessions, so this is an opportunity for some solo thinking time to process and refocus for the afternoon.

2-3.15: Session 3 - 1:1 coaching session. Depending on your goals for the retreat, we will either continue deeper work on our priority focus area or tackle a secondary topic.

3.15-3.30: Break - refreshments

3.30-4.30: Session 4 - a wrap up session to gather all your progress and ideas and channel them into clear next steps.

What can we focus on?

As a life coach, I work with my clients across a whole range of topics: from getting clear on what your next step or long-term goals look like, to making meaningful improvements to your relationships, career, confidence, or lifestyle.

In your consultation, we'll identify a couple of focus areas for us to work on during our time together. It might be that there’s something specific in your mind (e.g., considering a career transition, or achieving more balance), but don't worry if you don't feel clear on where you want to focus yet - that’s the work we can do with our day together! Coaching is a valuable space to really take stock of where you’re at and where you’d like to be heading instead.

Whatever your goals, we will spend time at the end of the retreat drawing together all your reflections, ideas and breakthroughs from the day. We’ll channel these into practical actions and next steps that feel inspiring and motivating, and use our follow-up session to check in on them.
